Greg Betty CEO & President
As the founder of Intelliware, Greg Betty has led the company to growth and profitability for over 20 years. Greg has shaped both the technical strategy and development methodology of the company, in addition to the overall business approach. He is an outspoken advocate of Agile development and an in-demand speaker for business and technical events. Greg has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. During his time at Ivey, Greg received the Schulich Award for entrepreneurship based on the success of an Intelliware activity-based costing application.
Bruno Schmidt Senior Vice President, Technology
Bruno has contributed to all areas of operations and his influence is evident in the architecture, development and delivery of a wide range of products and applications in the insurance, financial services, health care and technology industries. He continues to guide Intelliware’s technology choices and adoption of object-oriented development languages and open source products.Bruno has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University (formerly GMI Engineering Management Institute) in Flint, Michigan where he graduated cum laude. During his time at Kettering, Bruno worked with General Motors where he gained engineering and manufacturing experience as a co-op student. After cycling across Canada in 1988, Bruno pursued entrepreneurial and technological oriented opportunities, leading him to software development and ultimately to be a founding officer of Intelliware.
Greg McKenzie Senior Vice President, Operations
Greg is responsible for the operations of Intelliware. He joined Intelliware in 1999 following a number of senior management positions in operations, sales, marketing, logistics and procurement with Source Medical Corporation, MDS Inc., Air Liquide Canada Ltd., BOC Gases and Union Gas Limited. Greg has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and is a registered Professional Engineer. He is also actively involved in a number of charitable and non-profit organizations, serving as a Director of the Jai Dee (Good Heart) Children’s Fund, a charity helping children rise above poverty through education, and is a past Director of the Loyola Arrupe Seniors Centre.
Andrew Pitt Senior Vice President, Delivery
Andrew is a seasoned technology executive with expertise in IT strategy, Agile software development and complex business applications. For over 20 years, Andrew has been a trusted advisor to many top tier clients on a wide range of technology projects. Prior to his current leadership role across all of Intelliware’s practices, Andrew developed the Financial Services practice into an industry leader. Andrew has been with Intelliware for over 18 years and was previously an engineering and management consultant. Andrew is a registered Professional Engineer and obtained a degree in Engineering from Queen’s University.
Caren DesBrisay Vice President, Human Resources
Caren has contributed to the creation of a sustainable company culture and her influence is evident in all aspects of the organization. Caren holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1989. She has been with Intelliware since 1997 and her employee perspective has been imprinted throughout the company.
Keith Shiner Vice President, Financial Services
Keith has over 15 years of experience defining, developing, integrating and managing complex business applications. He has been integral in developing the Intelliware Financial Services Practice into an industry leader. Keith is a Professional Engineer and studied electrical engineering at Queen’s University.
Ken Stevens Vice President, Healthcare
For over 20 years, Ken has defined, developed, integrated and managed complex business applications. He has led healthcare informatics development and integration initiatives collaborating with OTN, Canada Health Infoway, ITAC, HealthPRO, and the Hospital for Sick Children. He also oversaw the technical integration of Healthwatch™ into multiple Provincial Medication Management Systems across Canada. He is the Co-chair of the Interoperability and Innovation Committee for ITAC Health. Ken has Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Pure Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
