Business Analyst

Our project teams work closely with client subject matter experts, end users and IT teams to deliver everything from proof-of-concept prototypes to bulletproof, long living, high volume production applications.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The Business Analyst guides product development from conception to launch while collaborating closely with technical leads, delivery managers, business sponsors and subject matter experts. Responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with team and clients
  • Facilitating discussions between management, clients and developers to identify business requirements
  • Gathering and processing business information related to procedures and data to clarify business issues/requirements
  • Managing project scope and facilitating the resolution of scope/budget/time issues
  • Developing business cases for alternative solutions based on business drivers and impact/cost analysis
  • Preparing and presenting project proposals and engagement documents
  • Collaborating directly with development team to deliver projects on-time and on-budget to the client’s satisfaction
  • Meeting with clients to understand business requirements and documenting them in functional requirement specifications that can be used by developers to build the functionality and testers to validate the functionality
  • Responsible for the quality of the developed solution: that it meets the business functional requirements and is production-ready

‘Must Have’ Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of business analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of software development
  • Ability to consolidate diverse business requirements and facilitate realistic, common sense solutions
  • Proven client-facing, partnership and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of: Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics  (or equivalent education/experience)

‘Nice to Have’ Skills/Experience:

  • Project management skills/experience
  • Exposure to and enthusiasm for Agile approaches to software development
  • Masters Degree in one of: Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics
  • Education/Background in a creative or non-technical discipline
