Technology Assessments & Roadmaps

IT strategy is becoming more critical with the proliferation of new technologies that need to be integrated with legacy systems, increasing pressures on organizations to become more efficient and growing customer demands for better products and services.

Questions such as build versus buy, in-source versus out-source and replatform versus replace are just some of the many challenges IT leaders face. Additionally, once those decisions are made, actionable plans need to be put in place with the appropriate mix of skilled technical resources. Intelliware is frequently engaged by a range of organizations to offer unbiased third party technical opinion and develop long term strategic plans. Our clients use these plans as to act as high level build roadmaps, to assist in raising capital and to guide future technology investments.

Our services include:

Intelliware™ Roadmap

IT projects, whether large or small, require a plan. But often, the analysis and planning phases result in a detached, analytical exercise with no clear outcome. The Intelliware Roadmap provides a well thought-out, actionable plan for a successful project.

Technology evaluation and selection

Because Intelliware is technology agnostic, we offer objective third party technical opinions to clients across various industry sectors. Legacy system evaluation

Companies invest heavily in their IT infrastructure; however, many of the systems that were implemented are becoming outdated. This results in a complex range of issues including escalating costs to maintain and update, a lack of integration with other systems and deficiencies in overall functionality. However, these systems may not, in fact, need to be replaced. They could be replatformed or modernized so companies can make better use of the systems they have already invested in. Intelliware will conduct a legacy system evaluations and/or application effectiveness assessment which will identify key barriers to the effective use of the system, provide recommendations and create action plans for addressing the issues.

Technology due diligence

We can help assess an organization’s IT infrastructure to help you make more sound decisions regarding potential acquisitions, mergers or investments, or as the basis to invest in new technology. Services include an assessment of the current state of an IT environment, risk assessments of gaps in functionality, opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings, evaluations of the overall health of legacy systems, future state recommendations and IT staff capabilities.
