On November 16th and 17th, international experts and digital health leaders across Canada will come together for the 2016 Infoway Partnership Conference. This year’s theme, A Conversation About Digital Health, will analyze how digital health solutions are providing safer medication practices, empowering patients, and enabling more seamless coordination of care to support better informed clinical interoperability.

Ken Stevens, the VP of Healthcare at Intelliware will participate in the Digital Health Alliance: Interoperability panel discussion. The panel will discuss the challenges that have existed in achieving interoperability and the opportunities that the current climate presents for the future. This interactive discussion will also explore new standards for messaging, mature systems and lessons learned from implementers.

As co-chair of the ITAC Health Interoperability and Standards Committee, Ken recently composed an ITAC Health Position Paper – ITAC Health Interoperability and Standards Committee (ISC) Position on Canadian Healthcare Interoperability Standards. During the Interoperability panel discussion Ken, will be given the opportunity to discuss this paper, a project that he’s been leading with ITAC for the past year.
