Intelliware is pleased to be sponsoring the 2nd annual PCHacks, Canada’s largest high school led hackathon, on May 4-5th at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus.

PCHacks is a 24-hour event that aims to bring together 250 student competitors from across Canada in an environment that encourages creativity and allows students to apply their ingenuity to build innovative new products. The event is aimed at fostering creativity in the field of assistive technology in order to improve accessibility for those with impairments or disabilities.

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Overall Best Project, Assistive Technology, Machine Learning and Big Data, Smart City, IoT, Robotics and the Best Use of API.

Student hackathons provide opportunities for collaboration, mentorship and empowerment. By working together to develop a product, students prove to themselves and to others what they are truly capable of accomplishing. Hackathons are also a great example of project-based learning—something extremely applicable to the tech world. By supporting PCHacks, Intelliware hopes to encourage more students to develop real-world coding skills.
