
Broadridge is a leading provider of investor communications and technology-driven solutions to banks, broker-dealers, mutual funds, and corporations globally.

Challenge
Broadridge wanted to launch an innovative new financial services product called Smart Prospectus™. This product reduced both pre-printed mutual fund prospectus inventories as well as the size of final, printed prospectuses delivered to millions of investors across Canada. Smart Prospectus promised to save wealth management firms millions in mailing and printing costs and reduce their environmental impact. However, Broadridge did not have the internal development resources needed to get the product to market quickly.
Solution
Broadridge engaged Intelliware to build out versions 1.0 and 2.0 of its software. The product needed to be of the highest quality upon launch to meet the standards of the financial services industry. Intelliware focused on incorporating the simplest solutions while meeting the goals of the business.
Results
To date, Smart Prospectus™ has handled millions of prospectuses, and is saving financial institutions millions of dollars annually, as promised. The project itself inspired Broadridge adopt the Intelliware methodology, which they continue to use to enhance their product.
